When I heard about the release of this book, in fact, I did real jump for joy! Not to mention that I could not wait to read something other than vampires, angels and ghosts.
Il problema, però, quando si parte con tali aspettative, è che generalmente se ne esce almeno un pochino delusi.
E infatti un po’ di delusione c’è stata.
Il problema è dovuto principalmente al fatto che il libro non è riuscito del tutto a coinvolgermi. L’ambientazione è molto bella e i personaggi ben caratterizzati, però manca qualcosa. Una scintilla.

Il colpo di scena where it turns out that Charlotte is not having the gene of time travel, but the main character, Gwen , it was not so unexpected.
The slow pace of the narrative flowing and fluid, without major upheaval or revelations. The role of Lucy and Paul remains unclear until the end, when in fact I would have expected an ending that turns the situation more.
Even the hasty kiss between Gwen and Gideon comes without too much disruption. We knew from the beginning that would have happened, it was just a matter of time. No surprise here. In addition comes just in the last page, as if the author had wanted to give a sop to the reader who wondered when he jumped off the romance element.

short, my disappointment comes from seeing a book with a potential so high (beautiful theme, flowing style, those well-managed) held back by a development that is not up to what could be.
I must say that I'm really confident about the next books. The fact that there are no fireworks in the first volume, gives me hope that you will see the next! The foundations are there, we hope not to be disappointed =)
